Qlock is a proprietary product from Microsoft's Windows NT platform. Unlike a typical window copy program, which normally allows users to customize their windows with a variety of options, a Qlock copy needs to be copied a certain way in order to work properly. With Qlock, however, it is possible to create copies that replicate any part of the window. This makes for an extremely customizable application that can provide the most flexibility of any window copying application.
When using the Qlock program, users need to navigate to a blank virtual desktop to begin copying the windows. After the screen has been loaded, a pointer will appear to the right of the program. If the pointer is pointing right, the user can proceed to the right side of the computer screen. If the pointer is pointing left, the user can begin on the left side of the screen. The Qlock program can be started up immediately after being launched and then users can easily choose to either duplicate or not duplicate each window.
The free version of the program includes five pre-installed windows that can be used as default windows. The program offers one-click access to install additional windows from the Internet and free upgrades for the next two years. In addition, users can import the graphics files from various other applications without having to worry about installing other programs that would duplicate the files. However, to copy and restore specific Windows settings, users are able to utilize the application's built-in functionality.
